Kis és nagylemez természetesen nem egyenrangú, hiszen jó kislemezeket sokkal könnyebb készíteni, de ezzel együtt is: a tökéleteshez legközelebb eső zenei produktumokat idén a The Puritan és a S.V.E.S.T. készítette el, mindketten EP formátumban. Mindkét listát lehetne folytatni egyébként kilométeres hosszban, mert ilyen „jó, de semmi több” lemezekből most is rengeteg készült, de ezt a hely és az idő, meg persze a rendezettséget preferáló önkény meggátolta.
Év koncertje: Inquisition (Bp., After), méghozzá toronymagasan mindenek felett. Jó volt a TV on the Radio (Bécs), a Wolves in the Throne Room (Bécs) és a Lake of Tears (Bp., A38) is.

Idén nem hallottam egyetlen meghatározó bm (ha a DSO-t nem vesszük) lemezt sem. Ez az én hibám. A Madrugada nem tiszteletadásból lett az első. A M.A.M.I. egy spanyol pop-diszkó csapat és le lehet tölteni INGYEN ezt a kiváló kislemezt. Kocsiban is ajánlott hallgatni. Az Arghoslentet szintén, ez viszont az év heavy metal albuma lett nekem.
2008-ban nem voltam egyetlen koncerten sem, viszont 2009 érzéseim szerint új távlatokat nyit meg mindannyiunk előtt. Mindenkit bátorítok továbbá, ha zenekart kíván alapítani, akkor csakis TRIBUTE csapatba lehelljen életet, Bruce Willis szerint a világ legjobb bandája a Creedence Clearwater Revival. Érdemes ezen elgondolkodni.

2008 gyenge év volt a black metalon innen és túl egyaránt. Kárpótlásul mindenféle embertelen zajokat hallgattam, még csak nem is süketültem bele, sőt, egész jól szórakoztam.
Előrejelzésem: 2009 annyival lesz rosszabb 2008-nál, mint a 2008-as Darkthrone lemez a 2007-esnél - egyébként a különbség nem olyan borzasztó, csak nem tudja feledtetni a tényt, hogy egyre csúszunk lefelé. Mellesleg lesz ám 2009-es Darkthrone lemez is...
Végül, ha már unalmassá vált a korábbi jelszó (lopj el egy lemezt, segíts a zeneipar bedöntésében), akkor itt a következő: "Alapíts egy projektet és segíts a metal zene tönkretételében!" Nem kapák és kaszák után kell nyúlni; gitárok, dobverők kézbevételével, myspace oldalak beizzításával, a hazug média - főként a fanzinek - telekommentelésével, kíméletlen promóciós hadjáratokkal kell harcolni, hogy végleg sírba tehessük ezt a felhígult, kiárusított, retróból élő stílust.
